This service watches the inside of your property. That deserves a straight answer about where the pictures go, so here is one in plain language rather than a page of definitions.
What we store
Frames, not continuous video. When your camera is sampled we keep the individual JPEG frames around a sighting. We do not record a rolling video stream, and we do not keep the frames where nothing happened.
An event log. For each sighting: the camera, the time, how confident the model was, and whether we notified you. That is what the timeline in your dashboard reads from.
Your camera’s credentials. RTSP requires us to present the username and password on every connection, so we have to be able to replay them — they cannot be stored as a one-way hash. They are held on an encrypted disk, readable only by the service process, and are redacted everywhere they could otherwise be displayed or logged.
How long we keep it
Frames are deleted on a timer once they pass your plan’s retention window — fourteen days on the paid plans, three on the free one. The event log entry for a sighting is meaningless once its frame is gone, so it goes at the same time.
Who can see it
Your footage is served only to a signed-in session on your own account. Frames are stored under an account prefix and every request is checked against it. A request for someone else’s frame is answered not found, not forbidden, so the response cannot be used to confirm that a file exists.
We do not sell footage. We do not use your footage to train models. Our model is trained on public datasets and is not fine-tuned on customer cameras.
Deleting things
Removing a camera stops us watching it immediately. Deleting your account removes the cameras, their credentials and every stored frame. Neither is reversible and neither is put behind an email to support.
What we cannot promise
If you port-forward your camera to reach us, your camera is reachable from the internet — by us, and by anyone else who finds the port unless you restrict the rule to our address. We tell you this during setup because it is a real cost that is yours to weigh, and we would rather you weighed it than discovered it.
