This is a plain-language summary while we are in early access. A full agreement will replace it before we charge anyone. Where the two ever disagree, whichever is more favourable to you applies.
What the service does
We connect to a camera you own, look at sampled frames for people, and notify you when we think there is one. You keep your camera, your recorder and your footage; we add a layer of judgement on top.
What it is not
This is not a monitored alarm system. Nobody is watching a screen, we do not call the police, and we do not guarantee that a notification reaches you. Detection is a statistical model: it will miss people and it will occasionally flag something that is not one. Do not use it as the only thing standing between you and a risk you cannot afford.
We depend on your internet connection, your power, your camera and our own service being up. Any of those failing means we see nothing, and we cannot see backwards in time once it returns.
Your side of it
Point cameras at your own property. Recording your neighbours, a shared corridor or a public road may be against the law where you live, and that is on you, not on us.
Keep your account credentials to yourself, and change your camera off its factory password before you connect it to anything.
Money
The free plan is free and stays free. Paid plans are billed monthly, in advance, and you can cancel from the dashboard at any time — you keep the service until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not pro-rate refunds for a partial month, and we will not argue about it if something clearly went wrong on our side.
Ending it
You can delete your account whenever you like, and everything goes with it. We may suspend an account that is being used to break the law or to attack the service; we will tell you why.
